Jerry Helmfrid.
- Clissold Arms (on Fortis Green in Finchley) is where the Davies brothers made their first public appearance in 1957 (no less). It was the favorite hang-out of their fathers - Frederick Davies and his croonies. They also serve a very wholesome Roast Lamb with mint sauce. (Never mind the person in front, which is me trying to digest the very wholesome Roast Lamb with mint sauce.)
- The Camden Head (in Islington) is where they auditioned a short-cut smart-dressed only-drummer-who-turned-up-in-answer-to-the-advertisement Mick Avory in 1963, to be precise it was upstairs in the "public room" which could be rented for family gatherings etc. in those days, and which now houses a large screen TV and the saturday football fans who don't see why they should go to the arena in between the pubs when they might as well stay in the pub all day.
- Archway Tavern (in Archway) surrounded by traffic on all sides is of course where they shot the cover photo for Muswell Hillbillies in september of 1971 and made a point of not tearing down ALL of the old buildings in favor of new concrete ones. If you walk past the pub and up the slope you get to Highgate Hill, as mentioned in London song, where - on a clear day - you can "see right down to Leicester Square". I wear glasses, so of course I couldn't...

- Concert program. The program says:
"These boys (The Kinks) do not like what we often connect to pop concerts. If anybody in the audience gets up from their seats or make any noise with their chairs, the group will leave the stage. "We have promised manager Barry Marshall that bad behaviour does not occur among the pop youth of Bergen. So let us show him and others that we speak the truth.
"The Kinks does not sign autographs either."

- Photos of two of Dave's guitars in the Rock 'n' Roll Hall of Fame,
taken Nov. 5th, 2008:
- 1971 Martin D-18 - "Better know for his much copied riff-laden electric guitar work that became a template for heavy metal, Dave Davies also provided subtle and delicatly executed acoustic guitar to such Kinks songs as 'Celluloid Heroes', 'Sunny Afternoon', 'Days' and 'Waterloo Sunset'." The guitar is currently located in the "London & Liverpool Ferry Cross the Mersey" display in the HOF.
- Gibson Artisan Les Paul - "Dave Davies is known for his much copied riff-laden electric guitar work that became a template for heavy metal. The Kinks' lead guitarist is pictured playing the guitar on the band's 1979 live album 'One For The Road'." The guitar is currently located in the Les Paul Wing of the HOF.
