Ray Davies & Band and the Vox Society Choir
Saturday, 14th November, 2009
The Orpheum Theater, Los Angeles, California

Contributed by: Steve

The show was tremendous. In the 2nd half of the show, the new Kinks
Choral Collection album was played in it's entirety. It was better than words can
describe. I love the album, and the songs were even better live. The Choir was
amazing, the sound incredible, and Ray's voice was "spot on." During the vocal-
only See My Friends, it was so mesmerizing that you could hear a pin drop. The
VGPS material was awesome. I've seen every Los Angeles concert by The Kinks
or Ray Davies since 1971-04-07, and I never thought I'd see Village Green,
Picture Book, Big Sky, Do You Remember Walter, Johnny Thunder, and the title
track from that album performed live. How rare is that?
