B
Time lives our lives with us
Walks side by side with us
Time is so far from us
F#
But time is among us
Time is ahead of us
Above and below us
Is standing beside us
B
And looking down on us
B7
When we were young and our bodies were strong
C#m G#7
We thought we'd sail into sunsets
C#m Am7
When our time came along
F# (f# g# a a# )
Now that we're nearing the end of the line
B
Time has changed, time will heal
Time will mend, and conceal
F#
In the end everything will be fine
And if we concentrate
Time will heal all the hate
(a# b c# b)B
All in good time
We go on, drifting on
Dreaming dreams, telling lies
F#
Generally wasting our time
Suddenly it's too late
Time has come, and can't wait
(a# b c# b)B
There's no more time
We go on, drifting on
Dreaming dreams, telling lies
F#
Generally wasting our time
Suddenly it's too late
Time has come, and can't wait
(a# b c# b)B
There's no more time
Notes: The lower case letters inside parentheses are the notes for a
"bass run" if you want to add that.
I?m not 100% happy with the progression I came up with for "we thought
we'd sail into sunsets when our time came along" bit? if anyone comes
up with better ones please let Dave Emlen know and I?m sure he can add
it to the file for this song.
Also, I think the original I hear on the YouTube video is in B, but I
think if I play it I would transpose everything up 1/2 step and play
it in C (play C chord instead of B, G instead of F#, etc.).
