Rosie Won't You Please Come Home

My lyrics are certainly off

Am-G-F-E

Am C F C
Rosie won't you please come home

C F C E
Mama don't know where you've been

Am C F C
Rosey won't you please come home

C F C E
Your room's clean and no one's in it

Am Em
Oh my Rosie how I miss you

Am Em
You are all the world to me

Am Em
Take a look and see if you're happy

Am G F E
If you're not, please, please, please come back (If anyone knows these two
lines, I'd like to know them, since as they are repeated and I imagine they are
key)

Rosey won't you please come home
Since you've joined the upper classes
You don't know us anymore
Unknown line
Oh my Rosie how I miss you
You are all the world to me
I will sacrifice all I have
For the happy home we once were

Rosey won't you please come home
Two long years have passes away
Since you tried to change your life
Unknown line
Rosie, Rosie will you ever tell me
If you don't want to come back
And I'll bake a cake if you tell me
You are on that flight coming home

Repeat first verse

Oh Rosy, will you please come back?....................

* Although the voice is singing a G, the guitar should be playing a G# which
is part of the E7 chord. This is what gives it a bluesy feel, the voice singing
the minor third while the guitar strums the major

Date: 5 October 2005 From: Ray hey ive got a change for rosie its Aminor G D G your site has been really helpful but just tryin to help w accuracy thanks -ray
From: Jean Laborde Date: 1 June 2016 The F should be a G chord in all verses e.g: Am G D7 G C G C Rosy won't you please come home? Mama don't know where E7 you've been. Am G D7 G C G C Rosy won't you please come home? Your room's clean and no E7 one's in it. the E7* is still the same Am played from the beginning of the verse and over the pentatonic melody.
From: Steve Date: 25 May 2020 No offense, but how could you possibly think the chords you have for "Rosy Won't You Please Come Home" are correct? The only think you got right was the key! Verse: Am G D G C G C E7
